Diego Doigneau

Diego Doigneau, born in Buenos Aires, is a celebrated tango DJ and organizer now based in London. He studied music and theatre both in Buenos Aires and London, blending artistic insight with deep musical knowledge 

Since 2008, he has been the resident DJ at Negracha Tango Club, London’s largest milonga, a position he’s held for over nine years; during this time, he has also been the musical heart of many top UK and London milongas.

Diego's global presence is impressive: he has DJed at premier international tango events such as River Tango Festival (London), Mediterranean Summer Tango Festival in Poreč, Brussels Tango Festival, Sevilla Tango Festival, Mallorca Tango Festival, Southern California Tango Festival, CircusMilonguero in Turin, Festivalito in Edinburgh, plus marquee Buenos Aires milongas like Practica X, Viva la Pepa, and El Motivo.

He is the mastermind behind innovative London events like Milonga 3D and Milonga UN PLACER, and played a key role in organizing Tango Etnia, all initiatives aimed at creating immersive and dynamic musical experiences. 

Diego’s DJ style is renowned for its storytelling quality: he carefully curates tandas to craft an emotional journey for dancers. While his foundation lies in Golden Era orchestras, he thoughtfully weaves in modern orchestras and subtle electro touches to elevate the atmosphere—always guided by the energy on the dancefloor. His profound passion for music and nightlife drives his mission: to keep dancers connected and moving long after the milonga ends.
