Adrien Alaoui & Iro Davlanti Lo
Adrien has been dancing since being a young child. He grew up in Paris, France. His father learnt tango in the 1980s and 1990s from Argentinean Maestros,including Virulazo & Elvira. Growing up surrounded by tango music, it was natural that Adrien made his way to Buenos Aires in 2017 to start his professional training with maestros Ariel Manzanares & Horacio “El Pebete” Godoy. After months of intensive studies, Adrien continued his training in Canada with Marika Landry, Raphael Beron, Pablo Pugliese, Noel Strazza, Hebe Lucia Hernandez & Hernan Lazart.
In 2019, he made his way to London to continue his learning with Leandro Palou & Maria Tsiatsiani.
They provided him with an advance training to prepare his professionalization.
Adrien combines a discipline that comes from competing in tennis and ice hockey at a young age with the body awareness given by the practice of martial arts and yoga.
In London, he met Iro, who became his life and tango partner.

Iro has been dancing ballet since she was 5 years. Fascinated by movement, growing up in a family of architects and artists, she developed her dancing skills by practicing latin, African dances & capoeira.
She started dancing Tango at 15 years old. Her first maestro was Orestis Demetriou, who taught her a style based on tradition, character, and expression. She trained subsequently with Vaggelis Hatzopoulos & Marianna Koutandou, owner of The Academia del Tango in Athens. She continued to learn in a tradition of Tango Salon, with a profound respect for lines, elegance, and simplicity.
At 18 years old, Iro went to London to study architecture. Here she continued her training with Leandro Palou & Maria Tsiatsiani, who were instrumentals in bringing her artistic expression to maturity. She met Adrien at the Milonga organized by her maestros in London, and they pursued their professional path together.

Together, Adrien & Iro have continued to study extensively with Leandro Palou & Maria Tsiatsiani. In Greece, they continued their training with Vaggelis Hatzopoulos, Marianna Koutandou & Orestis Demetriou. They also studied with maestros Sebastian Misse & Andrea Reyero, Geraldine Rojas & Ezequiel Paludi, Lucas Gauto & Naima Gerasopulou and Vanina Bilous.
In 2020, they participated in TangoChamps, a tango competition organized by Fabian Salas & Lola Diaz where they finished at the 1st place in the Pro-Amateur category.
In 2021, they won the Ambassador's Cup in the UK and competed for the first time in the European Tango Championship, where they achieved the 3rd place in Milonga and 4th place in Vals. They also received the Paula Niklison Price for best discovery of the competition.
Adrien & Iro mix a deep respect of tango tradition, culture and history with a youthful energy, They are resident teachers at The Tango Academy, London.
