WEEKLY ARGENTINE TANGO CLASSES IN READING
Learning Tango at Reading Tango Club.
We've quickly gained a reputation for the quality of our tango teaching. Our teachers all have a passion for tango that is infectious and all have extensive experience of teaching & performing both in the UK, Buenos Aires and internationally. They include some of the most experienced Argentinian teachers in the UK today. The focus is on authentic improvised tango that can be danced socially, anywhere in the world, not choreographed sequences or "show" tango. It's important to us that our teachers are also excellent dancers; they are our role models.
Argentine Tango is an improvised dance so you have lots of scope to be creative once you've learned the basics.
You don't need a partner to join a class. We all change partners during classes as part of learning to lead and follow.
Classes generally start with a few gentle exercises to help warm up and ensure that your tango has a foundation of good technique.
Classes focus on dancing, not just learning steps - all our classes will include musicality and connection with your partner.
Our classes are very sociable and the group is friendly and inclusive.
We hope you'll enjoy learning Tango with Reading Tango Club and that you'll become as addicted as we are!
CLOTHES & SHOES FOR DANCING.
For classes we recommend wearing clothes that are loose and comfortable and don't restrict movement. Shoes should have a smooth sole so that you can pivot smoothly on the floor (not trainers). Once you feel confident with tango, a wide choice of specialist shoes are available. See our tango shoes section for help.

We have worked with our chosen teachers to ensure the online classes are suitable for single leaders and followers as well as couples. These classes focus on helping you develop your personal tango, working on balance, control of movement and musicality. Above all they give a wonderful connection with tango so that when we all return to the dance floor we'll be more confident and well equipped to re-connect with a partner.

Thursdays: Classes with Leandro Palou & Maria Tsiatsiani | 8pm - 9pm | Book here
